STATUTES
European Association of Subperiosteal Implants (EASI)

ARTICLE 1
Name of the Association
The name of the organisation shall be:
European Association of Subperiosteal Implants (EASI)
EASI is established as an independent, non profit, scientific and professional association dedicated to the advancement of subperiosteal implantology.

ARTICLE 2
Legal Nature
EASI shall operate as a non profit professional and scientific association in accordance with applicable European and international regulations governing associations and scientific societies.
The Association shall remain politically independent and shall not be controlled by any commercial entity, manufacturer, or private interest group.

ARTICLE 3
Headquarters
The official headquarters of EASI shall be determined by the Executive Board.
The Association may establish national chapters, regional offices, committees, or representative bodies in other countries when deemed appropriate.

ARTICLE 4
Mission and Objectives
The objectives of EASI are:
To promote the safe, ethical, and evidence based use of subperiosteal implants.
To advance scientific knowledge, clinical education, and research related to subperiosteal implantology.
To establish educational and professional standards in the field of patient specific and custom made implantology.
To encourage interdisciplinary collaboration between clinicians, researchers, engineers, technicians, and academic institutions.
To promote innovation in digital workflows, biomaterials, CAD CAM technologies, additive manufacturing, and surgical protocols associated with subperiosteal implants.
To organise congresses, scientific meetings, workshops, educational programmes, and consensus conferences.
To support the publication of scientific literature, clinical guidelines, and position papers.
To encourage patient safety, professional responsibility, and ethical conduct in all activities related to subperiosteal implantology.
To facilitate international scientific cooperation among professionals and institutions involved in implant rehabilitation of severe maxillary and mandibular atrophy.

ARTICLE 5
Membership Categories
EASI shall consist of the following categories of membership:
5.1 Active Members
Active Members shall be licensed dentists, oral surgeons, maxillofacial surgeons, or other clinicians directly involved in the planning, placement, restoration, or management of subperiosteal implants.
Active Members shall possess:
voting rights,
eligibility for elected office,
and full participation rights within the Association.
5.2 Associate Members
Associate Members may include:
dental technicians,
biomedical engineers,
researchers,
prosthodontists,
educators,
scientists,
digital designers,
industry professionals,
or other professionals with demonstrated interest in the field.
Associate Members may participate in scientific activities but shall not possess voting rights or eligibility for executive office.
5.3 Honorary Members
Honorary Membership may be granted to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to implantology, science, education, or the advancement of subperiosteal implants.
Honorary Members shall be appointed by the Executive Board.
5.4 Student and Resident Members
Student and Resident Membership may be granted to individuals enrolled in recognised educational or specialist training programmes relevant to implant dentistry or maxillofacial surgery.

ARTICLE 6
Admission of Members
Applications for membership shall be submitted according to procedures established by the Executive Board.
The Executive Board reserves the right to approve or reject applications based on professional, ethical, or scientific criteria.

ARTICLE 7
Rights and Duties of Members
Members shall:
uphold the objectives and ethical principles of EASI,
promote patient safety and professional integrity,
maintain respectful scientific conduct,
comply with the Statutes and official regulations of the Association.
Active Members in good standing shall have the right to:
vote in General Assemblies,
stand for election,
participate in committees and official activities.

ARTICLE 8
Executive Board
The Association shall be governed by an Executive Board consisting of:
President
Vice President
Secretary General
Treasurer
Scientific Committee Chair
Additional board positions may be created if approved by the General Assembly.

ARTICLE 9
President
The President shall:
represent EASI officially,
provide strategic and scientific leadership,
chair official meetings,
supervise the activities of the Association.
The President shall be elected for a term of:
Two years
The President may be re elected for:
One consecutive additional term only
No individual may serve more than two consecutive presidential terms.

ARTICLE 10
Elections
Executive Board members shall be elected by Active Members through democratic voting procedures established by the Association.
Voting procedures may occur:
in person,
electronically,
or by other secure voting methods approved by the Executive Board.

ARTICLE 11
Founding Executive Committee
Until the first official election is held, EASI shall be administered by a Founding Executive Committee appointed by the founding members of the Association.
The Founding Executive Committee shall remain in office until the first General Assembly and election process are completed.

ARTICLE 12
Scientific Committee
EASI shall maintain a Scientific Committee responsible for:
scientific evaluation,
educational standards,
consensus documents,
publications,
congress scientific programmes,
and clinical guidelines.
Members of the Scientific Committee shall be appointed by the Executive Board.

ARTICLE 13
Ethics and Professional Conduct
All members shall conduct themselves according to the highest standards of:
ethics,
patient safety,
scientific integrity,
and professional responsibility.
EASI shall not tolerate:
fraudulent scientific activity,
unethical clinical conduct,
false advertising,
or behaviour damaging to the reputation of the Association.
The Executive Board may suspend or terminate membership in cases of serious misconduct.

ARTICLE 14
Meetings and Congresses
EASI may organise:
congresses,
workshops,
training programmes,
webinars,
scientific sessions,
and educational activities.
A General Assembly of members shall be held periodically as determined by the Executive Board.

ARTICLE 15
Financial Resources
The financial resources of EASI may include:
membership fees,
educational activities,
congress registrations,
donations,
sponsorships,
grants,
and other lawful sources.
All financial activities shall be managed transparently and exclusively in support of the Association’s objectives.

ARTICLE 16
Conflict of Interest
Members holding executive or scientific positions within EASI shall disclose any relevant commercial, financial, or professional conflicts of interest.
Scientific independence and patient welfare shall remain the primary principles of the Association.

ARTICLE 17
Amendments to the Statutes
These Statutes may be amended by approval of the General Assembly according to voting procedures established by the Association.

ARTICLE 18
Dissolution of the Association
In the event of dissolution, any remaining assets of the Association shall be transferred to a non profit scientific or educational organisation with similar objectives, as determined by the General Assembly.

ARTICLE 19
Final Provisions
These Statutes shall enter into force upon approval by the founding members of the European Association of Subperiosteal Implants (EASI).
